Zaidee’s Chasing a Rainbow Ride
Departing from Melbourne on Sunday 15 Feb, we'll be riding over some of Australia's best roads on our way to the Gold Coast Motorcycle Expo, which starts on Friday 22 Feb. approximate route map here
The ride is being led by Allan Turner of Zaidee's Rainbow Foundation , a not-for-profit group dedicated to improving the awareness of organ donation, named in memory of Kim and Allan's daughter, Zaidee Turner. Zaidee tragically and suddenly died in 2004 at the age of seven after suffering a burst blood vessel in her brain.
You can ride with us for the whole 6 days or for a few hours as we travel through Bairnsdale, Canberra, Sydney, Port Macquarie, Ballina and into the Gold Coast. We'll be stopping a communities along the way to help promote awareness of organ donation.
We'll be joined by one of the hits of the Sydney Motorcycle Show, Bundy the dog, who'll be riding with Tex, her co-pilot.

Route: Monash Fwy (M1) and Princes Highway (A1)

Cost: $20 for one day $50 for the full 5 day ride, or join us for part of any day for $5 (optionally).
Entry Forms Required for riders on whole days or the full 5 days only
Special Instructions: We also need 2 peaple to help by driving the support vehicle on the route. This would suit a non-riding spouse or two riders wanting to share a bike. If you are able to help out (in a non-riding capacity), please send me your name and daytime contact details ASAP.

NEWCASTLE TOY RUN
The day is the 7th of December.
The Location was Newcastle Produe Markets.
The evnt was to raise toy's Monies for the Salvos.
A few of the Central Coast and Sydney Chapter Members attended the 31st Toy Run.
A total of over 5,00 Riders and Pillion Riders turn out. It was ussume.
With the weather holding off till the Ride finnished.
Then the skies oppened up.
Overall it was a good day and Ride for one and all.
Can't wait till next Years Run.

NSW - Toy Run No. 31
Ride Description. NEWCASTLE TOY RUN 31.
Will have full Police Escort, 'green light' run to the Newcastle Foreshore Park to hand over toys, cash & tinned food to the Salvation Army, to help underprivileged families of Newcastle, Lake Macquarie & the Hunter Valley.

Any motorcyclists who want to be part of one of the longest running Toy runs in Australia are invited to assemble at the Sandgate Rural Produce Markets in Rural Drive, Sandgate at 8.30 to leave at 10.00am precisely.
Usual turn up is around 5000 bikes and the run is a full green light, police escorted run. All motorcyclists are welcome from Postie bikes and scooters to big road and touring bikes.
Past donations have been in excess of $36000 worth of cash and $30000 in toys last year- so it’s a really well supported run by the bike and business community. All proceeds are greatly appreciated. So come on down, and be a part of the 31st celebrations in Newcastle.....
It would be great to have a MMAA presence and for us to be able to start to publicise our involvement when we are involved in community work. This will add to our profile and assist in generating new memberships. Please try to make it and get all bike riding friends to join us as a group.
It is a Xmas run so dressing up bikes is also popular

NSW - Syd & C.C. Chapter - PINK Ribbon Ride 19-Oct-2008
A great day was orginised by the Womens International Motorcycle Association (WIMA).
Pink Ribbon Ride for the awareness of Breast Cancer. Be it Female or Male. Yes, we MALES can get Breast Cancer also!
The Members of Sydney and Central Coast Chapters of NSW attended this great ride; some brought their wives and others brought their daughters.
Several Bikers where totally dressed up for the occasion.
The Ride organisers had breakfast and luch provided at the Hornsby RSL, which was one of the main Sponsors of the ride.
Riders came from as far north as Newcastle and from the South as far down as Canberra, and from out West.
The total bikes that attended the ride was estimated at over 1,000 Riders.
The Ride and Day was well orginised and I for one will be there next year.

Vic - Ride to Daylesford 12 Oct 2008
Members of the Victorian Chapter met at the Loot Cottage Garden Cafe in Bacchus Marsh at 10:30 AM. Brian, the proprietor opened the cafe early, especially for us and his hospitality was greatly appreciated. After Grant had his usual breakfast and everyone else had coffee etc, we set off for Daylesford via Trentham. The roads were in nice and windey and in excellent condition, the weather was fine and sunny (around 29 degrees celcius) and there were heaps of other motorcyclists doing the same thing we were doing. We pulled in to Daylesford around 12:30 and had lunch at one of the local pubs. The food and company were great. Dylan Weaver had brought along another Mason from his lodge on the ride (Stuart) and he appeared to enjoy the ride and company too.
At around 2:30 we saddled up and departed on our ways back "from whence we came". In my case, it was just on 160 kms back home and the first 45 minutes was through some great rolling hills and fantastic scenery.
We look forward to getting together again at our Chapter AGM in 3 weeks time.

NSW - Tamworth Lodge Visit Nov 2003
In November of 2003 the Central Coast CHAPTER went up to Tamworth for the Raising of Bro MATTHEW Sanderson from Lodge Wyong/Tuggerah Lakes on the Central Coast. His Father and GrandFather came from there - both were both Mason's. The Chapter was well represented and we all had a good time and were received very well.
Bro Michael Lampadarios (Founding/National President) also made a presentation to the then Grand Master MWBro Tony Laurer with one of the first Breast Patches made for the Association, as Patron of the Masonic Motorcycle Association of Australia (MMAA), at Lodge Wyong/Tuggerah Lakes.
