SYDNEY SOUTH WEST RIDE

Dear all,

Attached are the links to the “Whereis” site on which I have detailed our route for the ride on the 24th May. You should be able to expand and print etc.

Plan is to leave the Crossroads pub at, strangely enough, Cross Roads Prestons, or Liverpool dependent upon your point of view. Leaving time is o9:45. We’ll move on to Macca’s at Narellan if that’s more convenient for some, leaving at 10:15 sharp.

You can see the timings for the rest of the ride which will finish up back where we started, or close to it.

“Mid ride” stop is Picton at, most probably, the George IV, for a bite etc. We can have a discussion about the formation of the Chapter there.

I expect we’ll back at start point by about 14:00ish.

I originally indicated a detour via the coast but in the interest of time I’ve pulled it back. You can also guess from the route my aversion to motor-ways. (My pick this time!! Someone else next time).

Take care, have fun and drop me a line if you need more info.

See you soon.

NW NSW Chapter - Trevor's initiation 19 April 2009

Members of the NW NSW Chapter and Peel Lodge welcomed MMAA members from Victoria, and NSW and Queensland to Tamworth for the initiation of Trevor Capararo into Peel Lodge and the Craft. Trevor has been a long standing member of the MMAA and was the first member to join from the NW NSW region.

The visitors were extremely well looked after and catered for, which is a credit to the Freemasons and their partners in the area. Trevor and Wendy Capararo organised a BBQ at their home for those of us who came to visit. An excellent night was had by all with Jason Capararo(our hosts son) proving his prowess as a chef with his signature dish "eggs a la moth".

Saturday was the big day with a "General Meeting" held at the Masonic Centre at 1:30PM for voting on 4 amendments / changes to our constitution. Meeting closed at 1:50PM and after a little "free time" Trevors initiation ceremony began at 4:30PM, concluding with an excellent meal and social time in the "South".

An excellent week-end was had by all and particular thanks go to V.Wor. Bro. David Robertson who went out of his way to assist in the organisation of the weekends events.

See the photos of the weekend in our "Gallery" page.
